A CHEAP PUDDING.

This jam roll makes a very cheap pudding. Take one cupful self-raising flqun, one tablespoonful of dripping. Mix together and add enough milk for a stiff dough. Roll out and spread thinly with jam, and place in a pie dish. Pour the following sauce ovei the pudding, and bako in a moderate oven for 35 minutes: One cupful boiling water, one tablespoonful of butter, one tablespoonful of sugar.
