ONEHUNGA POSTMASTER.

NEW APPOINTMENT MADE. The vacancy caused by the retirement on superannuation of Mr. C. W. Ross,, postmaster at Onehunga, has been filled by the appointment of Mr. H. C. Peichell, who has been a supervisor of the telegraph branch in Auckland for the past eight years. He will take up his new position within the next few weeks. Mr. Petchell joined the service in Invercargill as a messenger in 1898. He was then transferred to Waverley and Tauranga, later going to Masterton as telegraph supervisor. In 1922 he came to Auckland.
