MR. COATES AT OAMARU.
Enthusiastic meeting. [by TELEGRArn. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OAMAHU, Friday. One of the most enthusiastic political meetings in Oamaru for Some time was held to-night, when the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, addressed the Reform committee for the electorate. The attendance was so largo that the hall engaged proved insufficient to accommodate those present, and the meeting had to adjourn to a larger hall. A motion was passed expressing the meeting's confidenco in Mr. Coatos and the Reform Party. It waS decided to approach the Hon. E. P. Lee with the request ho again stand in Reform interests ut the next general eloction.
