ROYAL STUDENTS.
Before tlie war the King and Queen used to spend two solid hours after luncheon every day reading books which gave them information useful to them in their life's work. Nowadays they take their reading more lightly. His Majesty, like all sovereigns, is an inveterate reader of the news, and even when at a theatre will retire between the acts to the back of his box, where the latest evening papers are always ready for him.
