THE KING LIKES SEA YARNS.
The King can still delight in a sea story and 011 his shelves repose some wellworn volumes that he prized in his youth —of Kingston, Marrvat, and Ballantync.
Marrvat's " Phantom Ship," his favourite of all, is still there, and I'm reminded, remarks the writer, that his Majesty in his diary once told of a phantom ship that he "himself saw as it approached the Bacchante, carrying a bright red light, then vanished into air.
