NUTRITION OF SHEEP.
RESEARCH IN AUSTRALIA.' GOOD RESULTS EXPECTED. (Received February 27, 10.15 p.Hi.) MELBOURNE, Feb. 27. An important development. in the wool industry may arise from an announcement that, is likely to be made by the Commonwealth Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, which is now sitting at Melbourne. The council lias been concentrating ou the research work of the late Professor Robertson, of Adelaide University, who, at the time of his death recently, was conducting investigations into the nutrition of animals. His experiments and intensive following research have shown clearly that success might be expected from scientific methods of treating sheep foods, the ultimate object being the production of a heavier and larger staple. Sir George Julius, chairman of tlie council, slated that if complete success were reached the results would be made known to the world.
