CONFINED FOR THREE YEARS,

(Received February 21. 3.25 p.m.)

GENEVA. Feb. 11

An amazing case of inhuman cruelty has been revealed in the isolated village of Montsevelier, where a woman, aged 30, was locked up for three years in a small dark ceilai. which was indescribably foul, and not 'heated. The unfortunate creature was clothed in a few rags, which had to be soaked in water before they could be cut oft with a pair of scissors. She was a mere skeleton. and her hair was quite grey.

Her scanty food was pushed through a small hole in a wall. Her parents have been arrested.
