CAMBRIDGE, Friday

Tho Cambridge Borough Council last evening decided not to further employ a manager at tho abattoir owing to tho amount of killing not warranting it. Tho manager would still bo inspector. Tho Cambridge Domain Board drew tho attention of tho council to the provisions of tho new Domain Boards Act, under which tho board could call on local bodies with interests in the Cambiidge Domain to contribute to its maintenance. It, was resolved that the council meet the Domain Board in conference. The Loch 1 Government Loans Hoard advised that the council's proposed loan of £19,100 for extensions'to tho sowcrogo system had been approved.
