YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN SOUTH.
Auckland.—The weather yesterday was fine, but the sky was overcast throughout the day. The moderate wind from the south-west continued. Until last evening, when it- had a rising tendency, the barometer was steady at 30in. Wellington.—lt was fine yesterday, but overcast, with a fairly strong southerly blowing, making the day somewhat cold. It, was calm in the evening. Christchurch,—The weather was somewhat. cloudy but fine yesterday with intermittent sunshine. There was a rather cold north-east breeze. The barometer was - steady. Dunedin.—'The weather showed a decided improvement yesterday, The sun shone brightly throughout the day There was a light broeze from the south-east. The barometer was fairly, steady.
