MONEY FOR BUTTER-FAT

The Bay of Plenty Dairy Company today advanced to suppliers £27,154 for butter-fat supplied in January, the rate of payment being Is 3d per lb. superfine.
Even with the marked reductions in payment this season, averaging Ijjd per lb., the pay-out to January 31 shows a marked increase over that for the corresponding periqd of last (he figures being £143,752 and £136.584 respectively, an increase-of £7168 for (his season. Butter manufactured, 1119 tons, surpasses the output for the corresponding period of last season by 89 ions, nearly 8 per cent. Prospects are exceedingly bright for a lengthy soason and an abundance ol fodder during tiio winter months.
