PROTECTION FROM BURGLARS

AMERICAN INVENTION

NEW YORK, Feb. 14

The Westinghouse Company has placed on display the latest invention. This, is an ultra violet ray which is harmless and invisible.

It is claimed that the ray will protect vaults or harbours in time of war. Jewellers will be able to place the ray at various angles in their strongrooms, it is said, and intruders who interrupt it will cast an unseen shadow wliich will ring an alarm or release a tear gas barrage.
