TO DRY PEACHES.

A reader asks for tho following:—Peel the peaches, divide in halves and remove the stone; allow lib. of sugar to 31b. of fruit; make a syrup of the sugar and a very little water; put in tho peaches, a few at a time, and cook gently for fifteen minutes. Take them up carefully on plattcus, boil the juico until quito thick, pour on over tho fruit and set in tho sun to dry. When quite dry lay thorn lightly in a jar with a little sugar sifted between tho layers.
