SPORTS ON SUNDAYS.

INTENTION AT ROTORUA.

AUCKLAND BAPTISTS PROTEST.

A protest against the decision of the Minister'of Internal Affairs to open the Eotorua grounds for public sports on Sundays was made in a resolution moved by the Rev. Joseph W. Kemp and carried at the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle yesterday. The resolution stated that the Church viewed with alarm the encroachments which were being made on the sanctity of Sunday, and an early reconsideration of the matter was urged. It was decided to send copies of the resolution to the Prime Minister, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the member of Parliament for the district.
