*- ABNORMAL FALLS OF RAIN.

Feb. 31. Fierce storms in the Central Tablelands area caused much damage in many places and dislocated miles of telegraph and telephone lines.

As much as sin. of rain fell at some

places. ' f'c rain was accompanied by <£; hail at times, and tho streets in several ~ small towns wcro soon awash. Harden , and Murrum,hurrah suffered particularly. Stock losses are feared t.o he heavy in sorne districts.
