ANOTHER OUTBREAK FEARED

COASTAL SHIPPING, DELAYED ■y

SHANGHAI, Feb. 13,

The Chinese Government has issued orders suspending the clearance of all Chinese coastal vessels from Shanghai for a : period, of two days. The Customs officers are accordingly holding up papers, and allowed only three ships to clear.

The reason for this astonishing move is; at present, not clear. It is believed that it presages an. outbreak of hostilities which will necessitate the transfer of large bodies of troops up the Yangtse R,ivcr.
