A youth who had escaped from th» Weraroa State Farm, Kaudall James Ferguson, was arrested to-day and charged with the theft of a horse and other alleged offences. He was remanded to appeal' before a magistrate next ween.

Sergeant Cahill informed the Court' that Ferguson, who is 17 years old, had made a statement to the police. He had escaped from the State Farm,. stolen clothes and food and other articles and. had got rides in cars to Wellington an back. . He obtained clothes in Fei - ing by false pretences.
