MASON TO MEET HADFIELD.

HOHUKOHU, Friday.
The New Zealand sculling championship will be rowed on the Hokianga Harbour between James Mason, present holder of the title, and Darcy Hadfield, the ex-world's champion, for the Dominion title and a purse of £SOO on Saturday, March 1.
The match is creating considerable interest throughout the North. Both competitors have arrived. In addition to the great event, the local executive is arranging speed boat races, Maori canoe races, swimming events and a monster Maori hangi to commemorate the landing of the first canoe of Maoris at Hokianga.
