YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN SOUTH.
Auckland.—The weather at Auckland yesterday was very threatening. The wind was light from tho south-east and the sky was dull and overcast. Light rain fell during the afternoon. Barometer falling sinco Sunday night, registered 29.55 in. last evening. Wellington.—Yesterday was a perfect summer day with a cloudless sky, strong sun and a gentle breeze. The harbour was as smooth as glass. Christchurch. —Conditions were fine, but overcast early, later developing into a perfect summer day, with a clear sky, bright sunshine and a very light easterly breeze. Dunedin.—The weather was warm, calm and overcast until 5 p.m., when a light drizzle fell for about an hour. Conditions were warm and overcast in j the evening.
