COWS AND MILK.
ADVANTAGES OF TESTING. /
.A very crreat advantage derived from keeping milk records, especially if it is done by someone directly interested in the welfare and profit of the herd is this: flows are particularly sensitive animals, and the yield of milk is influenced to a ereat extent by the treatment they receive. both as regards feeding and their eeneral management: therefore anyone v/hr, keeps tho record has a preat opportunity nf discovering the cause from which a certain cow fails in her yield of miik. and he is in a position to nut tho matter ripVif, before nnv harm is done. The causes of cows falling off in milk without nnv apparent reason are many. For instance, a timid cow may be tied np next to a masterful one. or a new man !r«t rnnv .
