DOMINION BAND CONTESTS.
ENTRY OF ARTILLERY BAND. Donations are at present being sought to cover tho expenses of sending the Auckland Artillery Band to Dunedin to compete in the Dominion band contests. Tho Artillery Band is the only 0110 from 'the Auckland Province that has entered for tho competitions and already about £OO has been given by business firms and private citizens. A fairly large sum is needed and tho band officials are hoping to receive further offors of financial assistance. .. ■
