OBITUARY.

MR. WILLIAM APPLEBY.

The death occurred at Pnkekohe East on Friday of Mr. , William Appleby, aged 6'l, Mr. Appleby was born at Razorback, near Pokeno. and was tho oldest son of tho late Mr. William Appleby, of Maungalawliin Valley, and Mrs. Appleby, of Mount Albert. Ho entered tho engineering firm of Messrs. Georgo Eraser and Sons, Auckland, and afterwards joined tho Northern Steamship Company as an onginocr. Eater lie retired and took up fanning at I ukokoho East, where he was highly respected. Ho is survived by his wife, "two sons and ono daughter. The funeral took placo at Pukekoho yesterday and was very largely attended. Tho pall bearers worn associate members in tho Northorn Steamship Company.
