THE COROMANDEL SOCIETY.
INCLUSION WITH AUCKLAND.
As a result of a decision reached at the conference o£ ;■ New - Zealand acclimatisation societies held at Wellington last September, the Cbromagidel rSodety will bo abolished as t from . February 1, and the Auckland '..&ciety' .will. control the district. Tho district extends roughly north of Tapu, • on. the west coast, and. Tairua, on the east coast, of the Goromand'el Peninsula.
Tho Auckland. Society's ranger will cover the new", district, while the present Coromandei Society Will i become one of the districb clubs, with its representative on the executive cf,. the Auckland Society. Within the next few days 100 pheasants will" be liberated in the district, and the suitable .rivers will be stocked with fry "when the ranger ha# made an. inspection. ; .
