The rdef here still averages 3ft. wide, and is a strong, heavily-mineral-ised body of stone carrying antimony blend and silica. Dabs of gold are still seen in the ore. It is intended to start rising on the reef 110 ft. in from the crosscut where the picked stone was secured in the level. Ten pounds of picked stone were secured in the leading stope. The drive south on the liangingwall branch of the Orlando lode from the bottom of the winze has heen driven sft. The reef hero averages 2ft. wide and is a fine body of stone, carrying nice, bright mineral blend and silica. Strong dabs of gold are seen in the ore. When breaking down the main reef here we broke the hangingwall and cut another branch 12in. wide, showing nice dabs of gold. This portion of the reef has never been seen in tho wijize in sinking or in the level above in driving. From the course of the branch it should junction with the main branch in about another Bft. of driving. This looks very promising as we are in a splendid belt of J goldbearing country. The rise on tho cross leader from the drive north on the hangingwall branch of tho Orlando lode has been * l sen 7ft. From the level driven off the top of the rise, or 87ft. from the main level, the leader averages 15in. wide and still looks very well. The two flinties, cut and driven fh nave formed into a cross leader. Ihe.l ea present is Bin. wide and 19 running nn i y to tho Success leader, which 8 i?- 1(J j ea <jer be about 30ft. in our footwall. This i # is worth following on to the Succes as there is also a sood block of g d siar worked above here on the Success of South leaders.
