The appointment of a special committee to report on the progress of experiments at Mairoa and Ta, Kuiti in connection with mineral content •of pasture research and to make suggestions for the future work was announced to-day by the Minister in charge of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, the Hon. H. Atmore. The is to consist of Professors Malcolm and Denham and Messrs. T. Rigg, Q. Donald and B. C. Aston, and it is to spend four days in the locality. The Minister said he considered that the report of the committee would be invaluable is conn«etion with the-development of the King. .Country and pumice lands.
