COLOUR PHOTOGRAPHY.

GENERAL USE PREDICTED. The genuine dramatic value of colour in motion pictures and the life-like presentation of objects and_ characters on the screen under the new improved photographic processes will result in the production of all future talking pictures in colour, according to Mr. Jesse. L. Lasky, vice-president of Paramount Pictures. "Colour brings life," says Mr. Lasky, " and the production and presentation oj musical plays on the screen cry for colour. I might offer as an example our new all-colour picturo, ' The Vagabond King,' in which Dennis King is starred. In this, colour is used to heighten dramatic moments and to put tjio audience jn the spirit of 'the lighter scenes. Colour has a genuine dramatic value, and so enhances the telling of tho story that I see the end of black and whitQ pictures in tho near future."

" The Vagabond King," which was recenly completed" at the Hollywood studios, is one of the first all-colour singing romances to be produced. Miss Jeanette Mac Donald, New York prima donna, plays the feminine lead, and others in the cast are Warner. Oland, O. P. Heggie, Miss Lillian Roth, and Arthur Stono.,
