POPULATION OF LONDON.

The medical officer of the City of London reports that there are now only 11,000 people living between Holborn Bars and Alagate Pump,' between London Bridge and Aldersgate. The population shrinks each year. Tho number of pigeons in the pity remains about the same, though in one year 2000 pigeons were trapped. The number of London rats has decreased by 26,000. The city rat-catchers report the curious circumstance that the brown Hanoverian rat is disappearing, while the black rat is increasing in numbers.
