OUTBOARD RACING.
[ FIXTURE AT PANMURE. The Outboard Division of the New Zealand Power Boat Association will hold a series of races on the Panmure .Basin this afternoon. Large entries have, been received, including nine new boats. With the object of enabling the public to obtain a clear view of the racing, the course has been shortened and more turns have been introduced. The first event is timed ! to start at 2.30, the other five races following at short intervals. The officials in charge of the racing will be as follows Club captain, .Mr, R. Mount; starter, Mr. G. F. Robertson; judge, Mr. A. M. Wilson. Following are the entries and handicaps : B Class, two miles.—To start at 2.30 p.m.: Whoopee, limit; Bonzo Jr., British Maid, 20s behind; Pip Pop. 40s; Roly j-foppa, 555; Hop-a-long, lm ; Miss Tamaki, lm 10s; Miss Aknrana, 2m. C Class, three miles. —Nymph Jr., limit; Kypara Kid, Miss Hamilton, lm behind; Galloping Goose, Blue Streak, lm 30s; Zip. Miss Marquette 1., 2m. D Class, three miles. —The Chief, limit; Nymph, 15s behind; Silvcrton Kid, Miss Marquette IT., lm 355; Ocean Mule, lm 455.
The following events will also he run, handicaps lo he declared after the finish of ihn first, ram. B and C Class Han dicap, three miles; D Class Handicap, three, miles; Open Handicap, three miles. The competitors in these events will include. all engaged in the first three races. Turning marks to be kept to starboard.
