.Mr. F. E. Beamish, who for the las 12 months has been assistant-postmaste/ at Auckland, leaves next week to take uf. the duties of postmaster at. New Plymouth. Yesterday, on behalf of the members of the staff of the post office, wi.th; whom Mr. Beamish has been closely associated during the past year, the cliiel postmaster, Mr. H. P. Donald; presented « him with a silver te&set and extended to *3 him the Rood • wishes of the staff in Jna new sphere. Mr. Beamish'came to Auckland from Dunedin five years ago as accountant in charge of "the local branch o. the Money Order and Savings Bank.-* lie occupied a similar, position ; in.
