With the copious rains the herds are continuing to milk j exceptionally ivell. The Cambridge Co. ' operative Dairy Company, Limited, for the season to the end. of December advanced a total of £155,290 to suppliers, compared with £147,250 for the samo period of the 1928 season. For the December supply the company will advance £36,250, compared with £34,160 for th« corresponding period last season. The company is paying out on the basis of Is s|d per lb. butter-fat for cheese, and 13 4d for butter, against Is 4fd and Is 2|d respectively last season. The butter-fat returns show an increase of 10 per cent, this season. NORTHERN WAIROA COMPANY. \ . Co-operative Dairy Company's pay-out for December shows a decrease compared with the amount for the corresponding month in the previous season. The payment to be made for; December butter-fat on January 20 is £1662 less than was paid out for December, 1928. However, the total for- the season to date is £37.14 more than , . the total at . the same date last season. (.Production for the month and season to date show a big over, last season's figures, and the decrease in pay-out is accounted for by the fact that the advance is only Is 2d per Jp against Is 4d for. the same month last season.
