FALL FROM PARAPET.
FATALITY AT WELLINGTON. severe mental depression. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Ihursdny. The inquest concerning the death of Gerald Walsall Otterson, a former committee clerk in the House of Representatives. who fell off" a parapet, was concluded to-day. The coroner, Mr. J. S. Barton, said the evidence showed deceased had been suffering from dyspepsia, •which was always associated with depression. In this case it appeared to have resulted l'rom -a physical injury received many years ago, and from which there was no hope of complete recovery. His condition also appeared to have been aggravated by an injury to the head received -ifhen he fell from a horse at Norfolk Island about three months ago. A verdict was returned -that death was the result of injuries received in a voluntary fall from Parliament Buildings on January 10, this taking place -during a period of severe mental depression.
