BE ATSON—SAUNDERS

At St. John's Anglican Church, Te Awamutu, the marriage took place on Wednesday of Miss Hincmoa Marie Saunders, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Saunders, of Alfredton, Wairarapa, lo Mr. Douglas Russell Beatson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Beatson, of Port Charles, Corornandel. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. F. L. Dunn, of Te Awamutu, wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine and silver lace with veil of hand-worked lace, caught with orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses, carnations, sweet peas and fern. The two sisters of the bride, Miss Daphne (chief) and Miss Hester Saunders, of Masterton. were in attendance as bridesmaids. They wore frocks of azure blue marielte and satin with blue lace hats, and carried bouquets of pink roses, sweet peas, delphiniums and fern. Hie little flower girl, Betty Dunn, of Te Awamutu, was in salmon pink georgette trimmed with forget-me-nots, and a pink hat with foi-get-me-nots. She carried a basket of pink roses. Mr. F. Saunders was best man and Mr. Cyril Judd groomsman. Miss Empson played the wedding music and the service was choral. JONES—ARROWSMITH. The wedding was solemnised at St. Benedict's Church, Auckland, on Wednesday, of Miss Marjory Maude Arrowsmith, eldest daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Arrowsmith, of Devonport, to Mr. Kenneth Francis Jones, of Invercargill, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Jones, of Daigaville. The Rev. Father /anna officiated. The bride entered the church with her father, to the strains of the wedding inarch, wearing a gown of blush ( pink georgette and silver lace with tightfitting bodice and full skirt falling to an uneven hem. A large hip-bow of tullo finished the waist-line. Her veil of pale pink embroidered tulle, which formed a long train, was swathed with silver Hands across the head and finished with bunt lies of orange blossom above each car. She carried a pale pink bouquet of carnations and roses. Two bridesmaids, Miss B. Arrowsmith, sister of the bride, and Miss D. Jones, cousin of the bridegroom, were in attendance. Both wore frocks of daffodil georgette with tight-fitting bodices and tiered skirts of flared frills dipping to either side. Tulle hats to match were worn, and they carried shower bouquets of stocks and sweet [teas. Miss Trixie Arrowsmith was flower-girl and was dressed in green crepe do bliine with a Dolly Vardcn hat lo tone and carried a shower posy. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. George Sinclair as best man, and Mr. Desmond Walsh was groomsman. A reception was held at the Farmers', where the bride's mother received the guests wearing midnight blue niarocain relieved with silver grey georgette and hat to tone. She carried a sheath of crimson roses. Mrs. F. A. Jones wore navy blue crepe do chine, with hat to tone, and carried a sheath of autumn-tinted flowers. MILLS-IT PER. , The wedding was celebrated at the Presbyterian Church, Stratford, by the Rev. Mr. MacGregor. of Miss Elsie Gwendoline Piper, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Piper, of Lowgarth, to Mr. Kenneth William Mills, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Mills, of New Plymouth. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory taffeta with overdress of braided net. Her embroidered veil of tulle was worn with a coronet of orange blossoms, and her bouquet was of palest pink flowers. Two bridesmaids were in attendance, Miss Aileen Piper (sister) and Miss Mills, both of whom wore frocks of cherry-coloured celanese with diamante buckles and black picture hats with sprays of flowers in shades of pink and gold. Tho best man and groomsman were Mr. L. G. and Mr. E. A. Piper, brothers of tho bride. The bride's mother, Mrs. A. A. Piper, wore a frock of black and white georgette with black satin coat and black hat, and the mother of the bridegroom wore a grey frock trimmed with black crcpe de chine and a black hat,
