T AGENT NOT DISMISSED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIX. Thursday. Commenting on the cable about Mr. Richard Br'ophy, formerly, second in command of the Byrd Antarctic Expedition, Messrs. Taplev and Co,-, base agents for the expedition, say there is no truth in the assertion that an intrigue with a Broadway' actress caused Mr. Brophy's dismissal. He -was not dismissed. He suffered';t: severo breakdown in Dunedin and . during the period of bis incapacity ho was unfit to handle the expedition's affairs, so that his resignation was accepted.
