FATALITY AT LYTTELTON.

A fatal accident occurred at Lyttelt.on yesterday morning. Mr. John Swan, an employee of Anderson's, Limited, being killed through coming in contact with a live electric wire. At the time of the accident deceased wis getting £ block and tackle from a, crane. While reaching for the tackle he stood on some iron and at the same timo came in contact with a live wire. Artificial resuscitation was given by some of his workmates until th» arrival of Dr. D. H. Gilmore, who continued this treatment without result.
Mr. Swan was a singlo man, - who resided at the Bridie Path, Lytteiton, with iiis aged mother. He was, 45 years of age .and had been in the employ of Anderson's, Limited, for the past 20 years. He was thoroughly, acquainted with all branches of his work and plant.
