.YOUNG WOMAN INJURED.

ACCIDENT IN QUEEN STREET.

Injuries to the head were sustained by Miss Ethel Goldsboro, aged 21, of Hosebank Road, Avondale, as the result of being knocked down by a tramcar at the intersection of Queen and Shortland Streets at about 11.50 a.m. on Saturday. The injured woman was conveyed by the St. John Ambulance to the hospital. Her condition last evening was fairly serious.
