Crawford beat Hawko, 6—3, 6—3; Sproule beat O'Hara Wood, 6—2, 6—3 ; Willard beat Schlcsinger, 5—7, B—6,8 —6, 7 —5. Victoria won tho women's contest. GOLF IN CALIFORNIA. KIRKWOOD WINS A PLACE. (Received December 1, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 80. In an open golf tournament over 30 hoies at Berkeley, California, J. H. Kirkwood tied for fifth place with a score of 145. AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE TOUR. Swinton defeated the Australian League football team by 9 points to 5, after tho visitors had led at half-time by 5 points to 2. PROFESSIONAL BILLIARDS. McCONACHY LEADS NEWMAN. (Received December 1, 11.45 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. SO. Cambridge University defeated Oxford by six events to one in the relay races. Oxford's only success was in the two miles run. /
