Vincent last, evening ; —The new westerly disturbance from the Tasman Sea is moving on to New Zealand, an extensive area of low barometric pressure being associated with the depression. Indications (joint to unsettled weather generally, with heavy showers, especially in western districts. Hail and thunder are likely in places near the west coast, but fair intervals should intervene in North Auckland districts and east, coast areas. Cool to colder temperatures, but fairly warm in districts along the east coast. North-westerly winds, strong and squally, backing to south-west. Rough seas on tho west coast nnd in Cook Strait; moderate seas on the east coast.. Barometer, midnight, rising .. ?9.751n. Midnight, Saturday .. .. 29.75 in. GOVERNMENT REPORT.

Inst evening as follows; The secondary depression previously referred to has now crossed the Dominion and a slight, anticyclone is advancing across the T asmnn Sea. Indications are for moderate to strong winds generally, north-west at first, over the North Island, south-wes-terly elsewhere and south-westeries later becoming general. Seas rather rough in all the. west, coast, and in offshore waters on the east, coast. Moderate to strong south-west to westerly winds in the Tasman Sea and moderate to rather rough seas in the eastern Tasman. Weather mainlv fair, but, still some showers in most parts of the South Island and in districts of the North Island, with a westerly aspect- Cool temperatures. RAINFALL RECORD.
