VITAL STATISTICS.
RETURNS FOR NOVEMBER. FIGURES FOR ELEVEN MONTHS. As compared with tho figures for November last year, the vital statistics for Auckland for the past month show a slight decrease in the number of births, and an. increase in deaths and marriages. Births fell from 242 last year to 240, while marriages increased from 173 to 176, and deaths increased from 135 to 142. Tho number of marriages performed by tho registrar increased from 37 to 39. This movement differs from that of last month and also the prevailing tendency for the year, in. that marriages have shown an increase. The comparative figures for the first eleven months of this year and last year are as follow:
