TARRING AND FEATHERING*

MAN CHARGED BY DOCTOR.

VANCOUVER. Nov. 28. A message from Penticton, British Columbia, states that Charles E. Oliver, son of the late Provincial Premier, Mr. John Oliver, was arrested and later released on bail, charged with assault to do grievous bodily harm. Dr. V. E. Latimer alleges that he .was stripped naked, and tarred and feathered by three men after being kidnapped and driven to an Indian reserve in a motorcar, being left with only his overcoat, in which he walked home.

He says he recognised Oliver's voice.
