INTERNAL WARFARE.

CHINA'S GRAVE PROBLEM.

HOSTILITIES IN THE SOUTH.

SHANGHAI. Nov. 27.

riedly withdrawn from the provinces of Honan and Hupch. They are being despatched to Nanking for transference to the south.

A military campaign on a huge scale is contemplated in the south owing to the advance on Canton by General Chang Fakwci's forces. Efforts to effect a peaceful settlement have been fruitless.
