ENGAGEMENTS IN CITY.
BUSY PROGRAMME TO-DAY-
The Governor-General, Sir Clwles Fergusson, and Lady Alice Fergusson took part in the ceremonies connected with the opening of the Auckland War Memorial Museum yesterday. Earlier in the day a visit was paid to the Sacred Heart Convent.
With four public engagements, to-day will be a particularly busy one for His Excellency. At 9.30 a.m. he will attend the Maori ceremony at the War Memoria> Museum. At mid-day he and Lady Alice Fergusson are to receive at Government House the Moderator of the -Auckland Presbytery and a deputation of clergy and elders, who are to convey a resolution passed at- the last meeting of the presbytery, expressing appreciation of Their Excellencies' services to New Zealand. His Excellency will be the guest of the Rotary Club at lunch, in thf Lewis Eady Hall, "at 12.45 p.m., and will give an address. At 3 p.m. he is to visit King's College. ' : The only engagement so far arranged for to-morrow is an inspection of the crews of the warships in port. After the unveiling of the memorials at the Pukekohe East Presbyterian Church by Sir Charles on Sunday a'fternoon, Their Excellencies will leave by train for Hamilton.
