CHURCHES OF CHRIST.
MEN'S SOCIAL GATHERING.
A men's banquet and social gathering was hold in tlio Church of Christ, Onehunga, last evening, under the auspices of the Associated Churches of Christ. Over 100 rhten from city and suburban chnrJSes attended.
After tho banquet a social evening was held, and a number of humorous addresses were given by Mr. R. Downey, Mr. W. Glaister, Dr. J. F. G. Richards, and the Bev. D. D. Scott. Mr.. J. W. Jordan. M.P., spoke on "Parliament, Grave and Gay," while Pastor F. A. Daws gave ah address on "The Secrets of a Successful Christian Life." Vocal items were given by Messrs. A. Porter and B. Leng, and bv a male quartette consisting of Messrs. Manifold, Bell, Knapp and'McDonald.
