THEATRE GALLERY QUEUE.
Sir I wish to corroborate what your correspondent "Sufferer" says regarding tho gallery queue at His Majesty s. I was there one afternoon last week at 4.30, and there wero many boxes lining the pavement with names written on* them, and the owners conspicuous by their absence. These same box-owners stroll along a few minutes before seven and get the best soals, while those who have been waiting for hours (minus a box) have to take pot, luck. This is a very unfair practice, and should not be allowed. I have heard several people say that they have given up going to the Williamson shows on account of this practice. Another very nniair practice is that of people strolling along shortly beforo seven o clock ana taking their places beside friends in the queue, thus getting in front of those who n*ye been waiting a long time. If the Williamson management will rectify these two ob'ectionable practices they will earn the thanks of a large number of people who (I,j no', resort to these unfair methods, but wbc are compelled to .suffer in coi.sequenco of them. Here s Hoping.
