An inspection of about 100 members and nurses of tho St. John Ambnlanco Brigade in tho Auckland district was mado by tho chief commissioner of tho New Zealand branch, Colonel Georgo Barclay, 0.8. E., at tho Rutland Street parado ground on Saturday afternoon. Tho parado, which was under tho command of Mr. C. J. Tunks, M.8.E., commissioner of the Auckland district, and Mr. F. J. The cadet movement has taken a good hold aud there aro now several cadet ambulance divisions for boys in existence, while tho first cadet nursing division for girls was recently formod at Wanganui. It is hoped that during next year it will bo possible to extend the activities of tho brigade so as to include instruction in the prevention of accidents, aud that a series of lectures on- this subject will be given in each centre." Members, nurses and cadets on parade marchod past, Colonel Barclay taking tho salute.
