ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES. YESTERDAY MORNING'S WORK. BY ARCHER. Weather and track conditions were excellent for training operations at Ellerslio yesterday morning, when some smart gallops were accomplished. Quito a ' ntimber of horses used the course proper, where the flags were out about 40ft, arid others were galloped on the No. 2 grass, which was fast. Details of the work were as follows: — COURSE PROPER. Kairuri was slightly in front of Salamander at the conclusion of a round in 2.17 4-5. Kairuri, an upstanding gelding by Surveyor, is . steadily improving, in condition. * . Corinax beat The Lover-and Red Lion by about a length over a njil* in 1.46 4-6. Ccrinax waited rn behind his companions until the final stages, 'wten he carae on very strongly. ' The Lover Went nicely and is in capital trim to tackle his engagement in tho Te Kuiti. Cup. \ 1 Hyde Park encompassed a round .in 2 5 2-5, moving freely throughout and running tho last three' furlongs in 39 l-ss. Measurer defeated Spring Abbey over sit furlonss in 1.16 2-s—a nice gallop. Measurer haß been working consistently well, but has eo for failed to show any form in his races this season. Roman Pearl -was slightly in advance of Royal Lover and Greenfield at the ohd of five furlongs in 1.3 2-5. Greenfield is a member of N. Cunningham's team and is a brown gelding by Acre from Lady Moutoa. Silene ran away from Great Emblem over four furlongs in 60s. Silene has a nice turn of speed, but does not seem to be able to go very far.
