ANOTHER CABLE FIRE.
TROUBLE IN KHYBER PASS. LITTLE DAMAGE RESULTS. The third cable fire within a week occurred at the corner of Severn Street and Khyber Pass Road at mid-day yes terday. Dense clouds of smoke issued from the pavement for about 25 minutes but, except for some damage to the woodwork beneath the window-frame of Mr. R. Wilson's bakery, little harm was done. The stock in the shop was removed before ii was affected by the fumes and smoke which penetrated the building. The City Brigade was called and it prevented the fire from taking hold of the building.
