BLASTING FATALITY.
RELIEF WORKER KILLED. STRUCK ON HEAD BY STONE. [Br TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday. An unemployed relief worker, Henry Tucker, engaged by the Public Works Department on a new road between Gebbie's Pass and Kennedy's Bush, was killed today as a result of a blasting accident. A number of shots were boing fired when Tucker was struck on the head by a piece of stone and killed instantly.
A similar accident occurred on the same road on August 17, when another member of the gang was killed in almost similar circumstances.
