RUGBY RHODES SCHOLAR.
SELECTION OF N. K. LAMPORT.
The selection of N. K. Lamport, the Sydney University and Australian scrum halfback, as Rhodes scholar for 1930 is very popular with Rugger men in Sydney as well as in cricket, circles, says a Sydney writer. An honest worker, he is a line player, particularly sound in defence. It is hoped ho strikes his best form on the Rugger fields at Oxford. Lamport was captain of the Sydney University team which toured New Zealand during the season iust closed. He played a fine game in the mud at Eden Park against Auckland University.—Athletic Editor.
