Veitch, Minister of Transport, yesterday, stating that citizensi were becoming restive and mrginj;; thai; the Cabinet should approve the application rwide'to the Government to undertake tho con-, struction of the road to the proposed airport site on Landgua.rd Bluff. To-day tho Mayor, Mr.' W. Rogers, received the following telegram [rom Mr. Veitch:— "Further to my teligram of yerterday, I am now pleased to nrtviaci you that'l was successful to-day in' obtaining the approval of the Cabinet to a vote of £2300 being made to 'tho Wnnganui County Council for <:onstroption of the road to the airport site at Land guard Bluff."
