THE DUCHESS OF BRABANT.
Princess Astrid, Duchess of Brabant, the birth of whose little daughter meant such joy to tho Belgian people, is a daughter of Princess Ingeborg of Denmark, niece of tho K.ing of Sweden, and great-nieco of our late beloved Queen Alexandra. There's no doubt that it was a genuine love match between tho pretty Princess and the Duke of Brab.ant. Difficulties beset them; for, whiio the Duke and all the members of his house were ardent Roman Catholics, the Princess Astfid wa3 an equally staunch Protestant. Iri the end love found out the way, and jio one was more delighted thjan Kir.g Albert of the Belgians himself.
