LIEUTENANT JUDSON.
VICTORIA CROSS DINNER.
QUESTION OF ATTENDANCEAustralian and N.Z. Press Association., LONDON, Oct. 20. The British Legion has learned indirectly that Lieutenant R. S. Judson is coming to England from New Zealand to attend the Princo of Wales' dinner to tho holders of the Victoria Cross. If ho docs ho will have travelled farthest of all tho guests. Lieutenant Judson, V.C., who is under notice of transfer from Auckland to New Plymouth as adjutant of tho First Battalion, Taranaki Regiment, and as area officer, has had no advice of any arrangement for him to go to England to attend the Prince of Wales' dinner. However, ho stated yesterday that ho would regard it as a great honour to bo present. He did not think anyone would bo moro popular than tho Prince among the holders of the Victoria Cross. Ho spoke with appreciation of tho Prince's decision, of which he had heard, to attend tho dinner in a lounge suit so that nono of his guests need feel out of place by reason of not being in formal dress. Some of tho holders of tho Victoria Cross had had a very hard time, and might stay away from the dinner if they thought they hail no clothes suitablo for tho occasion.
